AKM Anchorage Masonry provides professional masonry services including but not limited to brick repair, chimney rebuilding, tuckpointing, retaining wall installation, stone patio construction, and related masonry work. All services are subject to availability and may vary based on project scope, materials, and site conditions.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Service estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified in writing.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in United States dollars. We provide written estimates for all projects before work begins. Final costs may vary if project scope changes or unforeseen conditions arise. Any changes to the original estimate will be communicated and approved in writing before additional work proceeds.
Payment terms will be outlined in your project contract. We typically require a deposit before starting work, with the balance due upon completion. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Late payments may be subject to additional fees as outlined in your contract.
4. Project Timeline and Delays
We provide estimated project timelines based on normal working conditions. Actual completion dates may be affected by weather, material availability, site access, unforeseen structural issues, or other factors beyond our control. We will communicate any delays as soon as they are identified and work to minimize disruption to your schedule.
5. Warranty and Guarantees
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. Warranty terms vary by project type and will be specified in your contract. Our warranties typically cover defects in workmanship for a specified period after project completion. Warranties do not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, normal wear and tear, or acts of nature.
Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to their terms and conditions. We will assist you with warranty claims but cannot be held responsible for manufacturer defects or warranty limitations.
6. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing safe and clear access to the work area. This includes removing valuable items, ensuring adequate parking for our vehicles and equipment, and maintaining a safe environment for our crew. You must also obtain any necessary homeowner association approvals before work begins. Failure to provide proper access or approvals may result in project delays or additional charges.
7. Permits and Compliance
We will obtain necessary building permits for your project when required. Permit costs are typically included in your project estimate unless otherwise specified. You are responsible for ensuring that any work performed complies with homeowner association rules, deed restrictions, or other property-specific requirements.
8. Liability and Insurance
AKM Anchorage Masonry carries general liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or damage caused by factors outside our control. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided for your project.
9. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises regarding our services, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the issue. We are committed to working with you to find a fair solution. If we cannot reach an agreement, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State of Alaska.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
