Effective Date: January 1, 2026
By accessing or using the website located at www.anchoragemasonry.com ("Site"), or by hiring AKM Anchorage Masonry ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") to perform masonry services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Site or engage our services.
AKM Anchorage Masonry provides masonry contractor services including, but not limited to, foundation repair, chimney repair, tuckpointing, brick repair, retaining wall construction, masonry restoration, and related work. Services are provided to residential and commercial properties in Anchorage, AK and surrounding communities. The specific scope of any engagement is defined in a written estimate or proposal provided to the customer before work begins.
All estimates are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise noted. An estimate is not a guaranteed final price if the scope of work changes after the estimate is accepted.
If conditions encountered during the project differ materially from those present at the time of the estimate (for example, hidden structural damage uncovered during demolition), we will notify you before proceeding with additional work and provide a revised written estimate for your approval.
Scheduling is confirmed when both parties agree to a start date in writing or by phone. We request at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Jobs cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a scheduling fee to cover mobilization costs.
We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather conditions, permitting delays, or other factors outside our control. We will notify you as early as possible in these situations and work with you to find a replacement date.
Payment terms are specified in the written estimate for each project. For most residential jobs, we require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due upon completion. For larger commercial or multi-phase projects, milestone-based payment schedules may apply.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of estimate. Past-due balances may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month. We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue work on a project where payment obligations are not met.
You agree to provide our crew with safe and reasonable access to the work area at the scheduled time. This includes moving vehicles, clearing furniture near interior work areas, and ensuring any pets are secured.
You are responsible for disclosing any known conditions on the property that could affect the work or the safety of our crew, including underground utilities not already marked, hazardous materials, or prior structural damage.
Certain masonry work in Anchorage requires a building permit from the Municipality of Anchorage. Where a permit is required, we will notify you in writing and include permit costs in the estimate. We handle the permit application on your behalf. Work requiring a permit will not begin until the permit is issued. You agree to cooperate in providing any property information required for the permit application.
We warrant our labor and workmanship against defects for a period of one year from the date of project completion, unless a different warranty term is specified in writing in your project estimate.
Manufacturer warranties on materials and products are passed through to you and are subject to each manufacturer's own terms.
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by: acts of nature including earthquakes, floods, or extreme freeze-thaw events; improper use or modification of completed work by third parties; or pre-existing conditions that were disclosed or identified during the estimate process.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AKM Anchorage Masonry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to our services or your use of our Site. Our total liability for any claim related to a specific project shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that project. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought.
